France, Camp 20 Grand and Homeward bound

*Note: This group of pictures starts on a train in France and ends on board ship bound for home. Dad wrote in a letter home to Mom, dated Sept 13, 1945  " I'm writing this from Camp 20 Grand, got in about 2:30 am, all ready for some sleep. We came in by rail, it was about a 200 mile ride. The cars weren't too hot, wooden seats and a few broken windows, but it was going in the right direction, towards you and home."  In another letter he wrote "We leave here on the 28th (Sept.) load on the boat and sail at midnight."  The port picture is probably Le Havre, France.
